There are two ways to enjoy autumn in Da Lat: admire the hills from a café, or run through them until you start thinking about that café. Lamdong Trail makes a good case for the second. This guide separates the event details checked on 8 October 2026 from practical suggestions for runners travelling from abroad.
An autumn trail race, rather than a road marathon
Lamdong Trail is an annual event in the Da Lat highlands. Registration material describes pine forest, coffee-growing areas, villages, red-soil paths and seasonal yellow wildflowers. Bloom and views depend on conditions and the actual route. Hills and changing surfaces are part of the experience, rather than scenery beside a flat road. [1]
You can combine a shorter category with a holiday or consider an ultra if you have the experience. Choose for the terrain you can manage. A beautiful course is not automatically an easy course; those quiet hills become surprisingly conversational when you meet them on foot.

Dates and venue: the event window is not your start time
The listed event window is 6–8 November 2026. The venue is TTC World – Thung Lũng Tình Yêu, the Valley of Love, at 03–05–07 Mai Anh Dao, Lam Vien, Da Lat. Check your own category’s date, start wave and final race-kit collection schedule. Do not turn a three-day event listing into one assumed race start. [2]
Work backwards from your start: arrival, kit collection, meals, equipment and sleep all need space. Flying in on race morning makes even a small delay expensive. For an international trip, allow enough time to finish collection and preparation before race day, then leave a buffer after the finish.

Choosing a distance: use trail experience, not a road PB
Listed distances are 5K, 15K, 25K, 55K and 85K, with separate Kids and Family 5K products. Check ages, guardians and the people included in each family ticket. A single adult bib does not automatically cover children. [2] [3]
For a first trail, use experience on slopes and uneven ground rather than a road-marathon prediction. Even 15K or 25K can take much longer on hills. For 55K and 85K, plan extended movement, navigation, food and any darkness within your own race window. Read elevation gain (D+), checkpoint spacing and intermediate cut-offs alongside distance. A kilometre on a map cannot tell you how your legs will feel on it.
| Category | What to consider |
|---|---|
| 5K / Kids / Family | Shorter experience; check age, guardian and ticket composition |
| 15K | Possible first trail; assess slopes and cut-offs |
| 25K | Sustained trail movement and fuelling |
| 55K | Ultra experience, extended equipment and checkpoints |
| 85K | Long-distance experience, darkness and travel buffers |

Registration and fees: check live availability
At the check date, iRace displayed registration closed. EnjoySport marked 55K and 85K sold out, while other products remained listed. Different channel displays are not a guarantee of a place; confirm current inventory and payment before committing to travel. [2] [3]
EnjoySport’s displayed LATE individual fees were VND950,000 for 5K, 1,400,000 for 15K, 2,050,000 for 25K, 2,550,000 for 55K and 3,150,000 for 85K. These are dated listed prices, not an assurance of availability. Check payment methods, your name, and transfer or category-change deadlines. For a resale, official completion of the name change matters more than a seller’s screenshot.
Pack for the trail and the early start
Bring familiar shoes with suitable grip, tested socks, light running clothing and a layer for wind or rain. Keep dry clothes and electronics separately protected. Race weekend is a poor occasion to discover how a new shoe fits: your feet already have enough work to do.
Compare every item against the latest mandatory list for your category. Lighting and batteries, water capacity, phone, food, reusable cup and emergency equipment should be checked rather than assumed. Download the final route for offline use. These suggestions do not replace the organiser’s rules. On wet soil or roots, prioritise a secure footing and follow course markings and officials.
Weather changes have a precedent: on 18 November 2025, Báo Lâm Đồng reported that the previous edition, postponed because of Typhoon Kalmaegi, was rescheduled for 12–14 December. This is historical context, not a change to 2026. Check organiser updates before travel and consider flexible reservations. [6]
Build the holiday around the race
A useful sequence is arrival and kit collection, your category’s race, then a relaxed departure. Long-distance runners should allow for finishing late, transport and the room’s check-out time. Companions should check permitted spectator areas rather than planning to follow competitors onto the course by car.
If considering LADALAT Hotel, ask about the actual entrance and route to the Valley of Love venue, early transport, breakfast hours, handling wet kit and check-out arrangements. A short map distance can change with event access controls. Club room and transfer benefits have separate eligibility and advance-confirmation conditions; a race bib itself does not entitle a runner to them. Use the hotel and location information below to arrange the race trip first.
