Lien Khuong International Airport, serving Da Lat under airport code DLI, reopened on 19 August 2026. Restoration announcements identify six domestic cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Vinh, Hai Phong and Can Tho. Kuala Lumpur flights resumed on 2 September. The latest Singapore report gives a planned start of 25 January 2027, with a proposal to advance it to December 2026. This guide separates resumed services, future plans and routes still being pursued, using airport, airline and local news sources checked on 2 October 2026.
When did Da Lat airport reopen?
Lien Khuong closed from 4 March 2026 for runway and taxiway rehabilitation and reopened on 19 August. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam reported that Vietnam Airlines flight VN1380 from Ho Chi Minh City was the first arrival. Older closure notices therefore no longer describe the airport’s operating status. The reopening date and each airline’s route restoration date are separate facts. [1]
Search for Da Lat or DLI when booking. Dalat, Da Lat and Đà Lạt refer to the same destination, while Liên Khương is the airport’s formal name. Selecting SGN or HAN as your final destination means arriving in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi and arranging an onward domestic flight. Check that the final airport on your itinerary is DLI.

Which domestic routes have resumed?
ACV’s restoration notice, published on 21 August, identifies six domestic connections: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Vinh, Hai Phong and Can Tho. This is a list from restoration announcements, not a claim that every route operates daily. [2]
Vietjet separately announced restoration of five routes from 19 August: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Vinh and Da Nang. Can Tho appears in the airport operator’s list and a 2 September Vietnam News Agency report, but these sources do not establish it as a Vietjet route. The table distinguishes airline confirmation from airport-level confirmation. [3] [4]
For an international arrival connecting through another Vietnamese city, compare the arrival time with the domestic departure. Separate tickets may require baggage collection, a terminal transfer and another check-in. Actual connection time and total fare are more useful than choosing a transfer city from geography alone.

Confirmed international resumption: Kuala Lumpur–Da Lat
Kuala Lumpur (KUL)–Da Lat (DLI) is the international route supported by an actual resumed arrival in the sources checked. Vietnam News Agency reported that AirAsia AK571 arrived on 2 September, with AK572 returning to Kuala Lumpur. It was reported as the airport’s first international arrival since reopening. [4]
ACV’s August announcement and the resumption reports mention four flights a week. Treat this as the published schedule at the time rather than a guarantee of a departure on your chosen date. Check AirAsia’s booking results for operating days, baggage allowance and departure and arrival times before purchasing.
The restored link offers an option for combining Malaysia with Da Lat or connecting via Kuala Lumpur. If the two legs are purchased separately, missed-connection protection may differ. A restored nonstop route and a convenient connection on your travel date are different questions.

Singapore: a January 2027 plan and a December 2026 proposal
Reports have changed over time. ACV’s August notice described a December 2026 Singapore launch. The newer Tuổi Trẻ report of 24 September, quoting the airport director, gives Scoot’s original planned start as 25 January 2027 and describes a request to bring it forward to December 2026 for Da Lat’s flower festival demand. The newer account should guide interpretation of the dates. [2] [5]
The reported proposal envisages three weekly round trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The sources checked do not contain an airline announcement confirming the accelerated start date or ticket sales. This guide therefore labels January 25 as a reported plan and December as an acceleration proposal, rather than an operating route or a confirmed December opening.
Before planning around a Singapore connection, check whether SIN–DLI appears for your dates in Scoot’s official booking system. A travel seller’s proposed date should be supported by an airline name, flight number and bookable departure. A reported launch plan is a different stage from an available flight.

What about Incheon and Bangkok nonstop flights?
The airport and airline notices and recent reports checked for this article do not establish a confirmed resumption date for Incheon (ICN)–Da Lat. The CAA’s August notice identifies restoring Incheon and Bangkok links as priorities alongside maintaining Kuala Lumpur service. A restoration objective is not evidence that flights have restarted. [6]
Related announcements discuss developing markets including Korea, China, Japan and Hong Kong. Naming a market does not confirm a city pair or scheduled service. Until an airline publishes a start date, departure airport and bookable flight, these should remain labelled as being pursued or explored.
If your trip cannot depend on an unconfirmed Korean nonstop, compare genuinely bookable connections through Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. If a new direct service is announced later, review your fare’s change and cancellation terms. This article reflects sources checked on 2 October, not a live inventory check.
| International route | Status | Reported timing |
|---|---|---|
| Kuala Lumpur KUL ↔ DLI | AirAsia resumption confirmed | 2 Sep 2026; announced 4 weekly |
| Singapore SIN ↔ DLI | Reported Scoot launch plan | 25 Jan 2027; planned 3 weekly |
| Earlier Singapore launch | Proposal; not confirmed | December 2026 proposed |
| Incheon ICN / Bangkok ↔ DLI | Restoration being pursued | No verified start date |
A new terminal change from 1 October: watch the displays
Vietjet’s 17 September notice announces a practical change at Lien Khuong. From 1 October 2026, routine check-in, boarding and passenger-call announcements are suspended. From 05:00 on 1 November, the airport plans to stop all routine terminal announcements; emergency, fire, security and safety announcements remain. [7]
Check the terminal’s Flight Information Display System (FIDS) for departure times and gate changes instead of waiting for a boarding announcement. Vietjet also directs passengers to “My flights” on its website or app. A quiet terminal does not mean a flight has been delayed or boarding has not started.
After completing check-in and security or immigration, check your gate again. If companions split up for food or shopping, agree on a meeting place and time and follow the boarding deadline shown on your travel documents.

Planning your transfer to a Da Lat hotel
Lien Khuong is not immediately beside Da Lat’s central sightseeing area, so arrange your onward journey separately after booking. If you are staying at LADALAT Hotel near the Valley of Love, directions to the city centre do not cover the entire journey to the northern hotel area.
Give your pickup provider the airline, flight number, date, passenger count, luggage count and exact hotel name. International arrivals involve immigration and baggage collection before reaching the car. Confirm the meeting point, waiting arrangements and a contact method in case of a delay. This guide does not quote a fixed journey time or price without date-specific verification.
For a late arrival, prioritise check-in and dinner, then begin golf or sightseeing the following day. To include Vallée de la Chance in your stay, use the website’s location guide to confirm the hotel and club arrival points and coordinate your visit around your actual arrival.
How to read route news before booking
“Resumption confirmed” in this guide means an airport or airline announcement, or a report of an actual arrival. “Planned launch” describes a future date in reporting. “Proposal” is a request to change that date before final confirmation. “Being pursued” describes an intended connection with no verified start date.
Before purchasing, check the airport codes, find a flight actually on sale for your date, then compare baggage, connection and change or cancellation terms. Use DLI as the final destination. The same checks help distinguish future nonstop announcements from operating services.
Sources were checked on 2 October 2026 and their publication dates are listed below. All five photographs document the actual reopening on 19 August. They do not depict the September Kuala Lumpur resumption or a future Singapore launch. The photographs and route reports are clearly identified as records from different dates.
